Chapter 128: Allegory
/ allegory n. - a story, poem, or picture that
can be interpreted to reveal a hidden
meaning, typically a moral or political one /
I am tired of hiding, tired of misspent and
knotted energies, tired of the hypocrisy, and
tired of acting as though
I have something to hide.
Kay Redfield Jamison, An Unquiet Mind:
A Memoir of Moods and Madness
Our conversation lapses in silence.
Sometimes words are not needed.
Some dark pasts are best left untouched.
Krystalle Bianca, Perfectly Entwined
The truth is that the truth isn't hiding.
It's out in the open--it's the people that
are hiding from the truth.
Jarod Kintz, The Lewis and Clark
of The Ozarks
A cry for help
The faintest sound
Before all time
A certain power corrupts
A war was lost
There are victors opposed
But in the end, there lies a scope
In every corner, its satire disclosed
But nothing pains, only of this sort
To keep the order of things
While reality unfolds
In every grace, love prolongs
Yet, the matters regained
Not of joy, but the deepest clue
The allegory of the many hues
An intersection, it was totally worse
Of space and time, speedy wagons
In everything, clearly the crossroads
But even now, nothing develops
Of the many lasting causes
It was a call for help
Truly, a craving for sadness
But to go on, we must proceed
Of queens, princes, and knights to be
The glory to be made
Despite the ruthless changes
Seasons go, autumn falls
In winter, the coldness grows
But once the sun rises
The heat destroys
In an allegorical sense
Tears will overflow
Nature dissents
Truly. Madly. Wildly.
Never to be brought
But sadness deceives
Morality emerges
It erupts in defeat
Yet, nothing goes to waste
A party to the wit
Clueless and abrupt
The actors revere
To field a new hat
Of the many solemn dreams
And they must persevere
Nothing can actually feel
The beauty of sorrow
Of sadness and emotions
Filled with mounting joys
Despite the cruel intentions
The Creatures gradually develop
Of those incarnated souls
The affection overflows
It must have been cold
To take the peasants' role
Of the many perspectives of love
And consistent devotion
