Chapter 125: Erratum

It happened a long time ago, but the Queen Regnant of the South can still feel the presence of her ex-husband, lurking somewhere in the midst of this beautiful palace, perhaps suspended in mid-air and occupying the many spatial requirements that has been granted to all the invisible things in the entire universe.

She went to bed with her lover, a chivalrous Knight, this evening, as always, although their relationship is kept secret from the watchful eyes of the public, especially that of the nosy press. Their relationship was that of mutual benefit; it's all about the common material gain, and the romance involved has absolutely no strings attached. However, depending on the circumstances will allow, a possible marriage is also being planned.

The Queen moved to the side of the bed after both of them was fully satisfied with the romantic interaction that happened a while ago, and the Knight quickly noticed that the Queen was deep in thought while staring blankly at the artworks in the ceiling above.

"You still feel him, right?" the lover asked.

"Yes, I do," the Queen replied, subtly threading on the subject. "And it grows stronger as the days pass by. We must break this known marital chain as soon as possible."

"You know that I am trying my best, right? Our marriage is my complete priority at this point. Please do not make me feel like I am not doing the best I could to make this possible."

The Queen sighed, partly relieved. "You know that only you can break this invisible chain, and the time to do it is quickly running out. We must hasten things up. This is just my serious concern at this point."

"But, why?" the Knight asked. "Is he regaining his memory again? Is that what you are feeling? You have to tell me."

The Queen looked at him. His face was partly illuminated with the light from the full moon.

"I am not really sure, Sir Ridley the Great," she smiled while caressing his face. "The vision is too blurry to be very certain."

"It means that this is what he remembers, right? His memory has been competently erased with an erratum. Do you still have the good command of his inalienable powers?"

"Of course," the Queen replied with a faint laugh. "I can use him as long as I want. His power only obeys me at this point. He has no idea of such immense power he once hold in his pure heart."

"And how about me, My Lady? What do you honestly feel towards me?"

"I love you with all my heart."

Then, they kissed passionately. Shamelessly. The act was way beyond being adulterous.
