Chapter 127: Mission Order
In the Autocephalous Order, all Creatures are sometimes called upon to take the place of the Cherubs, the winged creatures who are responsible for the upkeep of the integrity of the bridge between the dreams and the aspirations, and between the moral lesson and the imagination of life. Although in some crucial moments, the role of these Cherubs are sometimes assumed by the most rightful Angels before the throne of God.
But today, the many responsibilities of these Cherubs will be assumed by one of our dear friends named Obelisk, made official upon his receipt of the Mission Order that authorizes him to help a curious child find the right path to happiness. As he began to read the instrument of his job description, he was delighted to know that the child's dreams are innocent, and some of the corresponding subsidiary goals are quite achievable by simply taking confidence with the abundance of hope and a little push from someone friendly enough to encourage the child's still young resolve.
The child has no idea and totally confused as to what to pursue in life, which indicates early on that the boy lacks the focus needed to dream a particular role when he finally grows up. It is also indicative that the lack of focus could have been a result of a trauma that the child endured prolonged disappointments in life, and the lack of interest in the many possible dreams was ascertained to be the direct effect of this suspected causation, as explained above.
The Mission Order offers no other information about this particular child (as the Corps of Personnel normally do to test the ability of the inscripted), although, fortunately, the instrument does not say that the entrance to the boy's dreams does not involve certain peril for it to be quite threatening for entry, and to safely infiltrate the neural system of the child's faculties.
Usually, children who exhibit this common trait have a suppressed potential for creativity, because the trauma usually clouds the will to express, and the disappointments simply accentuate the need for the boy to feel safe in his surroundings that prompted him to take the flight response instead of a clear tendency fight.
Obelisk has a good feeling about this Mission Order and he cannot wait to start finding the right moral lesson in life. While the trauma as noted by the instrument worries him more because some children with this condition tend to be uncooperative and there is a widely prevalent sentiment of apathetic tendency, he is quite positive that this child only needed some reassurance in life by trying to transform the trauma for the creativity to be converted and become the main focus of the condition of his elaborate thinking.
However, this is not going to be easy. It will be particularly hard for sure, but he is too excited nonetheless. He feels good already, as if the moral lesson had already been found.
He is the mighty Obelisk, after all. A Creature proundly taking upon himself the physiology of a monkey. He is the king of sentiments (self-declared, shamelessly), and he is the master of his craft. He also likes taking risks just as he enjoys to nibble his own freshly baked chocolate chip cookies.
As he signed to receive the Mission Order indicating his approbation of this new assignment from the Corps of Personnel, he was already planning in his mind on how he can meet up with Tangerine (finally!) in this entire process. He was keen to petition the Autocephalous Registry to allow him to do so, and he has full confidence with the system that this humble request will be granted.
