Chapter Forty Seven: The Prophets Named Brothers Grimm

INT. INSIDE THE ROOM OF PROPHECY, ASTROLOGICAL SEMINARY - DAY

The Prefect of Prophetic Causes, Rufus Chloride, is conversing with the Secretary-General of Seminary, Astor Craine, and other two senior officials, about the predicament of Princess Snow White, finally acknowledging the need to discuss the issue; although caution is observed throughout, while deliberately veering away from politics.

RUFUS CHLORIDE
(In a manner of a gentleman, addressing the Secretary-General)
You seem very confident with your recent findings, eh? A lot of things have reached my attention recently, and I am inclined to beg-off from the interpretation of these charts if politics is the primordial consideration for such reading. You know for a fact of our diplomatic status and the way we treat the Commission's rules.

ASTOR CRAINE
(About to argue passionately)
The charts are never wrong, Your Very Reverence. It concerns of the two prophets that have seen the future of this Kingdom, the way it will meet its destiny, and a Princess who must break the spell. The Brothers Grimm have written a dangerous rhetoric on the way they narrated the myths that became the basis for all these constellations to align that supports a perilous--

RUFUS CHLORIDE
(Interrupting)
The Brothers Grimm? Do you know what you are talking about? Have you not read their destinies, and how Astrology has falsified all of their claims as mere fabrication? Regarding these charts, do they bear the same unfortunate event that surrounds your readings, if ever you are aware of the full consequence of the stars?

ASTOR CRAINE
(Very uncomfortable now)
That is why we wanted to access the Room of Prophecy so we can warn the Royal Household of an impending crisis that will involve the Princess Snow White, and the death of many Guards.

RUFUS CHLORIDE
(Laughing hard)
All of these troubles just to peek into the fake prophecies of the Brothers Grimm? Oh, such a waste. I will tell you right now: your charts are lying. This whole thing is ridiculous. If I were you, I will not dwell in politics and the fortune of others. This is a fair warning. If you want to stay, then be cautious about your dealings. Not everything needs your attention, and there are issues that are best left alone.

The room fell eeriely quiet for a moment. There is a sudden tension in the room, but neither of them are ready to acknowledge it. They know for a fact where this conversation lead.

ASTOR CRAINE
(Pretending to be confused)
I do not understand.

RUFUS CHLORIDE
(Smiled wanly)
Of course you do, Your Reverence. You are a very clever man.
