Chapter Forty Eight: The Prisoner of Dystopia
/ absconder n. - a fugitive who runs away and hides to avoid arrest or prosecution /
The great escape from the Dystopian Prison occurred many, many years ago; it was swift, unexpected, and became controversial enough to have missed the reporting of the nosy press, and the unfortunate incident has been the main controversy that directly attacked the credibility of the Story Board in recent memory.
Certain precautions have been made prior to that incident, in all fairness to the concerned authorities. This is due to the fact that the Story Board, having the overall supervision of the Dystopian Prison, has been misled to believe that the captivity, enclosure miracles had been put into place, but much to their dismay, it was neglected.
The controversy subsequently grew wider and wider, and was escalated to the point of demanding accountability and resignation from the primary officials, that the Canon House was forced to create the Commission on Hook and Conflict to gather and arrest the fugitives.
Eventually, the Story Board has been placed to spearhead the Commission's work, and was able to arrest eight of the nine fugitives. It was sort of a sweet victory to report that to the press.
However.
The last fugitive has never been found. The Story Board, having been under pressure to produce results to the public was coerced to report that the ninth fugitive has been found dead.
The issue has been put to rest with finality. But the ninth prisoner is still at large, and nobody knows how powerful she really is. Or whatever damage she might cause in the years to come.
