Chapter Thirty Eight: South Kingdom and Secretary of Parochial Concerns v. Tenth Kingdom
The Judicial and Bar Council is sitting today to release the decision on the validity of the Cause of Action filed by the South Kingdom against the Tenth Kingdom, so as to determine whether a trial should commence and to decide whose jurisdiction the subject conflict falls under.
The Clerk of the Bar is currently reading the per curiam decision:
"The Council finds the merits of the Cause of Action to be a valid concern at the national level because although the Appointments clearly delineate the lines between what was appointed, and what is not, grievances in all forms must find its way into the proper forum, to be heard and ruled upon, by arbitrating between erring territories and enforce discipline among the member states."
"The matter at hand necessitates the hearing of the case before this honorable Council, albeit nothing shall be construed from this decision impairing the appointed local powers in the form of parochial concerns. While the decision on this case will greatly affect the freedoms and sovereignty of local authorities, the Cause of Action between commercial interests within and without the Commission must fall under the same type of arbitration, without prejudice to the appointments from which the Commission draws its authority from."
"Wherefore, after the merits of the case have been considered together with the submitted position papers, this honorable Council finds the Cause of Action to be meritorious and reaches the cognizance of the Council with sufficient legal basis, and shall therefore begin its jurisdiction with the same Council to discuss the merits of its reasoning."
"The Council shall begin taking evidence from this subject Cause of Action after due consideration to the defense of this case, and all arguments for the Cause of Action shall be afforded with the same scrutiny as it was under the rules, after evidence of its merits has been legally obtained."
"The prayer for the Temporary Restraining Order is hereby granted under the name of the Commission on Appointments as an extension of its authority."
"SO ORDERED."
There were audible murmurs from both sides after the decision had been made and clearly promulgated. The Cause of Action will now begin its trial, and the Tenth Kingdom is not very happy about it. As the litigation continues, someone from the gallery was intently listening and watching the solemn proceedings.
