Chapter Twenty Four: The Chart of Dreams
"Your Reverence, what does my chart say? Please tell me."
Princess Snow White looked deeply in the eyes of Astrologer Elwood, desperately looking for answers and honesty. Her dreams have consistently bothered her in her sleep, and she is now dying to know what the stars are holding for her. She could not wait any longer, and it took her all her might to muster enough courage to let an Astrologer read her chart.
"The stars are not favorable," Elwood said, looking grim and defeated.
Princess Snow White knew this all too well, and she is just looking for someone to confirm her fears. She nodded at the instance of the answer, as if she is readying herself for the consequences and what the future holds for her.
"How much time do I have?" she asked. The princess was trying to hide her worries with the conviction of a true royalty.
"Regarding the timing of the prophecy, I do not know, Your Royal Highness," Elwood said. "But I guess it is not as immediate as it seems. What is worrisome is what was currently happening."
"Yes, yes, Your Reverence," Princess Snow White said. "I want to know everything about these charted stars, and fulfill the prophecy. I am mentally preparing myself for this. The Tenth Kingdom shall never collapse, whatever the future holds. We can counter the future. We make our future, it is not predestined. The stars only guide us."
Elwood looked at Princess Snow White with extremely lonely eyes. He knows the answer to this. The Astrologers knew this all too well to be mistaken. It is not the right time to give false hopes.
"This quest is going to be perilous, Your Royal Highness," he finally said.
