Chapter Seven: The Attempted Assassination of Princess Snow White

The Royal Carriage left the Palace of the Three Stars on time, carrying Princess Snow White to the venue of the Ceremonial Reception for the new Astrologers of the Tenth Kingdom. The night sky was clear when they set off, and the stars are visible. It was a fitting sight to welcome the new Astrologers that will be of service to the Crown and the people of the Kingdom.

Inside the Royal Carriage, Princess Snow White was in deep thought. As she was slowly watching the world go by through the window, many things come to her mind that made her feel uncomfortable. She was in this state since a few weeks ago when her dreams started troubling her, and she was not even informing her parents about it. She knows she need to tell an Astrologer about these dreams, so maybe tonight she'll have a chance.

The lucid dreams slowly became a nightmare, and she really do not understand anything at all. Was it something that she has done? What did she do to deserve being troubled by these invasive dreams that rouse the happiness out of her? 

As the Royal Carriage takes a turn, she noticed someone with an arrow pointed at her. Then all of a sudden, the arrow hit her arm. They suddenly halted, while the shouts of the henchmen filled the cold night air.

"The princess is under attack! Ready your weapons!"

The henchmen immediately circled the Royal Carriage to protect Princess Snow White at all cost. They have aimed the arrows at the assassin as he was trying to escape, but they all missed. The henchmen are now pursuing him.

One of the henchmen checked Princess Snow White inside the Royal Carriage to see how badly she was hurt. She seems okay, but the arrow deeply wounded her arm. The henchman thought that the arrow might be poisoned so he asked the others to send Her Royal Highness to His Majesty's Infirmary for immediate treatment.

As she was being sent away, Princess Snow White was more troubled than before. Not only that her wound was bad, but what happened just now has been seen in her dreams. It was the same man who tried to poison her consciousness. She know that she was in trouble. But who can she tell?

Will they understand? That somebody wanted Princess Snow White to be dead?
