Chapter 142: An Astrologer's Provisions

"We must now leave the District of Peace at once! Have you not seen the charts?! This is absolutely dangerous now that the tables have turned. Before we know it, the South Kingdom will launch a surprise attack on the Commission on Appointments itself to conquer everything that these lands had to offer. Even your most loyal spy is dead. The Tenth Kingdom has lost the fight already, and the prospective is quite clear. The Queen's power has proven itself to be enormous, indeed."

"Cowardice will neither help our causes, as well."

"Since when did the warnings of the charts become cowardice now? There is a noble reason why we study the stars and the several positions of the constellations, that is, to guide our path towards the way of enlightenment. Right now, the future is bleak. We must respond accordingly, and not to be conquered by pride and the certainty of death. Death!"

"Death will never be the cause of suppression of our causes, no it will not, but definite fear would. If you will continue to fear the Queen, you are only fueling the strength of her power and its evil nature. The Massachu, as this unknown, abstract power is called, thrives in the negativity of the human condition in such a way that the evil substances within which the goodness of the soul proposes the union of potential energy, that, then, forms part of an integral connection to the divine nature of all creation. This strong dynamics retain its movement until all the forces combined were tarnished and fully consumed for the needed impetus to be released until this entire process was fully synthesized."

"This is why the Massachu is a notorious trap to those who seek and desire absolute power. It is a path to doom that must be avoided. And we must always heed the stern call of warning. We certainly cannot triumph neither if we are already dead."

"It seems to me that you are avoiding combat. Where has your inherent chivalry gone?"

"I am not a knight, but a dedicated Astrologer most certainly. I do not romanticize courageous battles, I must admit. It is still clear in my mind that I will never walk right in the midst of a treacherous trap for my apparent death. I still carry my own sanity with me."

"There is a reason why the Astrologers' Seminary was based in the Tenth Kingdom, my fellow bretren. If you want to turn your back on our noble purpose, then I cannot fault you for backing away from a rare opportunity to stand for the truth and what we truly believe in. I will gladly let you escape, if you so insist."

"And you are not coming with me?! Are you a fool? Nobody profits from all of these alleged heroism no matter how glorious and beautiful they wanted to paint its dire circumstances. We are not fortune tellers by all means, and we must act within the norms of the well-functioning system of the proper intellect."

"What kind of mere heroism are you talking about? We are all fighting for our lives, Your Reverence. If we will simply allow them to conquer the Tenth Kingdom without putting up a certain form of resistance, then the Ancestral House will fall into the wrong hands. The next winter season is fast approaching. Once Princess Snow White was finally offered with the required rituals prescribed by the Massachu, then this dimension will begin to crack, and total madness will then immediately follow. We will all succumb to pure evil."

"But what must we do? We are seriously outnumbered, and the Massachu maintains its mighty curse over the descendants of the Tenth Kingdom. How can we possibly survive this impending war?"

"With the help of a little magic, I suppose?"

"What is that? Wait. Is that---?"
