Chapter 119: The Perishiable Dreams

When you do something noble and
beautiful and nobody noticed, do not be sad.
For the sun every morning is a beautiful
spectacle, and yet most of the audience
still sleeps.

Princess Snow White woke up from an extremely errie nightmare. She was covered in sweat, her body was shaking from the coldness of the night air, and her heartbeat racing. It seems that the bad dream itself was preventing her from gaining consciousness as the sleep paralysis continued for ten minutes. She almost thought that she was already dying.

She sprung from her bed in a sitting position and immediately reached for the bell to ring it. She fought very hard in trying to gather her consciousness. A royal assistant, who heard the summon of the bell, knocked at her door to ask permission to enter.

"Come in," Princess Snow White said.

The Assistant entered through the door with a look of grave concern. Princess Snow White's face cannot hide the terror that she had experienced in her unpleasant dreams. So far, this particular episode of the series of vision is the scariest of them all.

"You called me, Your Highness?" the Assistant said as she carefully approached the bed.

"It's my dream again, Esmee," Princess Snow White simply said, her voice shaking. "It's getting worse now."

Esmee can also feel the same terror from the account of that experience as the Princess continues to be visited by the unwanted dreams. It was as if it was telling both of them a confidential message from some mysterious ssender, and the channel was the faculty of her dreams.

"I think my dreams are telling me something important," Princess Snow White said.

"Like, a prophecy, Your Highness? A form of written Agreement?" Esmee inquired of the Princess' statement, almost iinstantly agreeing to the suggestion.

"I do not know, Esmee. Will the stars tell us something if not a message more suitable for the Astrologers? Will that thing be lawful enough?"

"The constellations only abide the Astrologers, Your Highness. Whatever message these nightmares have may be coming from something else. Something evil made that can be formed from sinister materials," Esmee answered truthfully.

"Who would dare visit my dreams, Esmee? Is it possible that it is coming from the enemy? Especially that of the descendants of the Tenth Knight?" Princess Snow White was too eager to query.

"Nobody can dare to approach your presence, Your Highness, unless you give them your consent. I guess this is also true with regards to your dreams," Esmee stated her opinion as a matter-of-fact. "Do not allow them to invade your privacy, Your Highness. Ignore the whisperings of their dangers. Close your mind to the manipulation."

"Then, who would dare visit my mind at night? Who will have the audacity if all of these things that you have said are true?"

Esmee wasn't sure how to phrase her answer to that question, but judging by the look on the face of the Princess, they both knew what was already happening.

"Him," Esmee simply said. "He."
