Chapter Sixty Nine: The Foyer
Nobody talks about the Ancestral House anymore, and the recent attempt to break into it has been met with indifference. It is as if there was no emergency attributed to the attempted burglary, and everybody is now focused on recent events that involve the killing of the Most Loyal Executive Secretary and the trial of the century.
Clearly, the diversionary tactics are working quite better than expected.
He looked at his sticky pole, and anger quickly rushed throughout his body. He was consumed with the hate that goes with the passion of the memories that hit him back, in fact too intense, that his grip on the stick he was holding tigthened and strengthened.
As if awakened by the sudden lack of lucid interval, he tried to relax by taking deep, calculated breaths. There is no need to be angry now. No, not yet indeed. There is an appointment for everything, and his revenge will reach the appointed time sooner than what is necessary.
The heavy breathing allowed him to taste the wind of satisfaction, and it tingled his senses. He is now ready to enter that foyer, the entrance to the Ancestral House. He must secure the Sleeping Potion hidden within its confines without attracting the attention of the guards in and around the secretive, old house.
He will succeed. And the Reader will awaken soon. This treacherous nightmare will soon come to an end, while the Sleeping Potion takes its therapeutic effect.
What the Evil Queen failed to do, he is ready to fulfill. Nothing shall stop him from bringing back what was theirs, what his people deserved, and what the Agreement has been promised to consummate.
Nobody cares if the Sleeping Potion was a poison in itself; they shall have known how to separate the substances from the toxicity of the potion to turn it into an elixir.
It will be done. He is now ready to risk his life.
