Chapter Thirty: The Secrets of the Gawkins Past

EXT. NEAR THE LAKE OF BLOODLINES, COVERED WITH TREES ON THE FOREGROUND - DAY

There are two knights conversing in the place as described, their faces covered with fear and anxiety, and their hands brutally tired of all the fighting. A secret is being discussed, a matter not openly discussed especially within the context of the Commission on Appointments.

The first knight, called Arthur, is the older of the two, and was speaking in the moment that we found them.

ARTHUR
(With a tired voice that anybody near them can hear)
It is quite rare and strange that we must hide the secrets that we have to the authorities of the Commission on Appointments, especially since the Blue Ribbon Committee has been divided about this senseless war. There is a reason why this lake exists, and was named as such.

The other knight in the conversation, named Adonis, felt anxiety and fear by what was being discussed. He was quite surprised about the topic, and will opt not to get involved with the merits of the issue.

ADONIS
(Repulsively surprised)
Enough! Someone might hear you.

But Arthur was determined not to rest with the case.

ARTHUR
(In a clear loud voice)
But isn't it true? That evwrything we are fighting for are nothing but false ideology? That we have entered into the Commission with unclean hands, pretending not to know anything, but that we must obey under this oppressive voice in our heads?

ADONIS
(Angrily)
Someone might hear you! He can certainly hear you!

Arthur just laughed. He simply cannot take it anymore. He needed to spit fiery words from his mouth. Nobody can ever take this deception anymore.

ARTHUR
(Still in a loud voice)
I don't care anymore! He can such my blood for all I care. I wish he can find that body sooner so he can kill me like a hero.

Adonis abruptly stopped replying after that. The silence was deafening. And then after a moment, he spoke.

ADONIS
(Feeling defeated)
I know how it feels. But we are under the Oath of Secrets we can never break.

ARTHUR
(Nodding in agreement)
Then death or honor. We must choose.
