Chapter Two: The Dark Forces

EXT. IN A DARK ALLEY SOMEWHERE NEAR THE TENTH KINGDOM - NIGHT

A cloaked person is holding another cloaked person on the shoulders, whispering to each other in conversation so as not to attract attention to themselves.

CLOAKED PERSON #1

(Very curious)

Are you sure you have planted the device without anyone knowing?

CLOAKED PERSON #2

(In a cautious manner)

I did. They suspect nothing. The Henchmen was already too late but we don't want them to think of it that way. We have accomplished as you wish.

Cloaked Person #1 was very pleased with himself, took a deep breath, and nodded vigorously.

CLOAKED PERSON #1

Very well. This is what we needed. An element of surprise. Soon, this King will learn what it feels like to fall from his own arrogance.

Cloaked Person #1 released Cloaked Person #2 from grasping his shoulders to tidy up his cloak. It has started to rain.

CLOAKED PERSON #2

When will we activate the device?

Cloaked Person #1 turned his back on him while staring at the lamps at the end of the alley way. He started to remember everything that has happened in the past, and it still hurts.

CLOAKED PERSON #1

As soon as possible, my loyal servant. Soon, they will feel the same pain they have inflicted on me. Not a single one of them will escape my wrath. Not a single one.

After saying that, he turned to face Cloaked Person #2 again, this time the light on his face is overshadowed by his hood. There is an air of death in his voice. It was very chilling.

CLOAKED PERSON #2

This is going to be a great tragedy that everyone will remember.
