Chapter One: The High Commissioner

There was an attempted break in. And three dead henchmen.

The Ancestral House emerged from the darkness into the light of the morning, unharmed, thanks to the henchmen who hastily defended it from the claws of the unknown enemy. However, no matter how chivalrous they are, they were still no match to the force of the intruder. The enemy had a power, and it was almost certain.

The dead henchmen shows no sign of any wound, or contusions, but they were very dead. It was a complete mystery how life escaped them, and the matter has been brought to the attention of His Majesty the King. Nobody knows what was the motive for this attempted break in, but no matter the case, the Ancestral House must be guarded at all cost.

His Majesty's Union takes the matter very seriously that the High Commissioner arrived at the scene to see everything through the lens of his own eyes. He was determined to ascertain who was behind this attack, and appeal popular support from the Commission on Appointments, to put this attempted intrusion to an end once and for all.

"What kind of magic is this, Sir?" the High Commissioner asked the General of the Henchmen. "It is a magical power to inflict such death to our courageous troops, is it not?"

"Indeed, Right Honorable," the General responded. He did not need to elaborate any further because both of them knew exactly what was going on. "It is what we have suspected."

"Witchcraft," the High Commissioner finished the sentence for him. Such audacity to attack the Ancestral House without full reinforcement. This enemy is unknown. Who would want to attack the Kingdom knowing witchcraft was banished from the Kingdom so many centuries ago?

"Call the best Astrologers to determine this treachery. And then we shall see. I will inform the Union for a meeting to discuss our next option. For now, gather more troops to defend this place, and we shall inform the Executive Secretary of this attempted assault."

"It will be done, Right Honorable," the General said.
