Chapter Twenty Three: Patron of Strength

The Most Excellent Order of the Tenth Knight has been a leading figure in keeping peace and order in the Commission, and they have commanded respect in all the appointed realms, primarily because of their special abilities, their marksmanship, and overall demeanor in battles, including melee combat.

Anyone from the Ranks of the Henchmen or the Associates of the Astrological Seminary may be inducted into the Order, and this elevated status is considered the pinnacle of any career in combat. While the Order originates from the Tenth Kingdom, it has sworn to protect all of the Kingdom's allies, its territories, and Treaty obligations, including that of the peacekeeping efforts of the Blue Ribbon Committee.

The two membership grades in the Order are recommended by the Patron of Strength, currently Howard Greg Spittleby, Duke of Brytanshire, but His Majesty's Union decides who will be elevated, leaving only the decision of membership grade in the hands of the Patron for him to decide. Throughout the years, the Order and the Patron of Strength have successfully selected the best warriors in combat, and this excellent reputation has continued on without any anomalies or disappointing grim results.

The first membership grade is the Officer of the Most Excellent Order of the Tenth Knight, a class of warriors skilled in the use of the Imaginary Rod. Although they also wear the very distinct Cloaks bestowed for the persons inducted into the Order (the same as the second class of membership grade), the Officers are very good with their Imaginary Rod, a rod illuminated by a fluorescent glow that commands several powers into the battlefield.

The second membership grade, the higher of the two, is called the Companion of the Most Excellent Order of the Tenth Knight. Not only do they excel with the Imaginary Rod that they use to their hearts content, their Cloaks also provide an extra mantle of protection as it serves as a shield of light.

These are the qualities that made the Order very popular.

Just recently, a very strange letter appeared at the Home Office of the Order, addressed as follows:

The letter contained a poisonous powder that immediately claimed the lives of three Seneschal at the Home Office. Things are starting to be alarming now as Princess Snow White also escaped a narrow death just recently, and there are reasons to believe that the Kingdom is "unofficially" under attack. By whom, is nobody's guess yet. But it is sure someone is trying to harm the Kingdom and His Majesty's Union must take the reins and get into the bottom of all of these, once and for all.
