Chapter Fifteen: The Feud of Darkness

INT. IN THE INN NEAR THE PALACE HALL, DISTRICT OF PEACE - NIGHT

A Cloaked Man is talking to a Seneschal of the Blue Ribbon Committee while they are keeping their voices low, in case anyone might hear them. The room is dark enough to conceal their faces.

SENESCHAL

Everything is going according to plan, Your Greatness. It is almost certain that the case will reach the Judicial and Bar Council, and Gawkins Republic will be left alone with the pirates. The feud will become deep enough to divide the Commission as you please.

CLOAKED PERSON

(Sounding annoyed)

Indeed? It doesn't look like it. Politics can sometimes be too tricky to trust. We need something of a controversy that will shake the very foundations of this Commission.

SENESCHAL

(Looking disoriented)

What do you mean, Your Greatness? Surely, a feud has been started...

CLOAKED PERSON

(Cutting the Seneschal mid-sentence)

But not as quite ready as I expected. I need something solid to set the motion with tremendous amount of treachery and emotions. I want another attempt on her life. Kill her if you need to.

SENESCHAL

(Shaky voice)

Princess Snow White? But, Greatness! The Tenth Kingdom has been on high alert ever since the first attempt on her life was a failure. We simply cannot pass through those henchmen without being caught.

CLOAKED PERSON

(Nodding blankly)

Yes, yes. But it can wait. There is no need for haste. For it can wait indeed. This is going to be the final blow to the Tenth Kingdom's pride. I can taste the smell of revenge now.
