Chapter 113: EATERS

There was an office called the Environmental Aerosol of the Timely Element Radiation System or EATERS, a top-secret agency which is established to provide support to all the time systems available to the humankind (time machine) and to the fantasy worlds (physical clock), primarily to quell the propagation of the dreaded time related adverse effects that could deter the prospering of the natural life and its supporting fantasies in a separate realm within the bounds of this universe.

It was still a very young discipline when time travel and its supporting systems began to show several contraindications that could threaten human life, especially when spatial dimensions started to interact with the rest of the paticles that compose the fundamental universe. This shocking discovery has led to grave concerns regarding the future of the development of the time systems that, then, prompted to forge cooperation among them and start an independent inquiry by the establishment of the agency of the EATERS.

The agency was tasked primarily to study the aerosol of organic matter once it was transformed (called primal timely dissolution) and then reconstituted at the extreme end of the predefined time segment of the travel, both through the mechanisms of the time machine and the physical clock by the determination of some noted changes in chemical and biological composition of those travelling in between the spatial requirements.

Indeed, EATERS will later on discover the cause of the problem that they have termed to be time wasps and its surrounding dynamics, describing its behavior and how it can be mitigated, how it naturally develops and noted its accompanying natural movements, and where does it actually come from.

The time wasps were the main theme of inquiry as its effects to the imaginary world also results to the same adverse effects established to be infecting the humankind. It was a scientific problem as they were engaged by those who are familiar with the matter, and this whole mission was constituted to determine an appropriate means on how to remedy the present situation. Needless to say, the universe is gradually being exploited on the verge of infinite desolation.

Whether it is the time machine or physical clock, there was no difference that was deliberately made to tackle these time wasps to curtail its further evolution, growth, and development. Everyone was determined to eliminate any natural byproduct that could hamper the convenience and groundbreaking knowledge that the time systems have afforded to the importance of life and the role of the imagined worlds in the enduring gift of life.

But then, more shocking discovery. After several controlled experiments that pertains to the time wasps, EATERS later on reported that they have been able to separate the time wasps with the existing metaphysical substance of all else to be found in the biological world, with particular attention given to the accumulated time wasps which later on they called the Columbusian, a seemingly alive matter that has the capacity to control itself and permeate inside biological systems. Later on, another matter of the same characteristics was noted for the imagined, which was called as the Columbia, accordingly.

However, despite years of many failed attempts, EATERS is still hell bent in destroying these accumulated time wasps, which then had been nicknamed the Sovereign (for both forms), especially when it targets the empty souls of the individuals through a chronic feeling of emotional longing, or the main control of the impossible bond for fictional characters. But the efforts had been futile because the Sovereign later on was able to exploit the time systems to its favor (by natural selection), and everything suddenly evolved to be a situation of a cat and mouse chase that made the whole matter even worse than once anticipated.

Destruction is iminent and the univetse is in very grave peril, more sinister at the very least.
