Chapter Ninety Seven: The Prisoner of Cell 822 at the Dystopian Penitentiary
He already told everything that he knows to the Copy Editor who was tasked by the Commissioner of the Adjudication Sentencing to profile his case, in the hopes of shedding light to the main circumstances and personal experiences leading to that attempted escape. Although he speculates that the Story Board may be suspicious that he was under the influence of Ultracharged Substance of Extreme Fantasy abuse, a potent illicit drug, he was not actually sick based on evaluation, but he was suspect to be under the influence of a certain authority, nonetheless.
The latter was correct.
And right now, that same influential authority was asking him to lie again, to deceive the Sentencing of the Adjudication Service in order for them to make a conclusion that he was, indeed, suffering from a certain sickness that is not yet known to present generally accepted knowledge. They wanted him to mislead more people about the true intent and purposes of this controversial prison break attempt.
A Lexicographer Guard approached his prison cell to inform him that the Copy Editor was now waiting for him in the Conference Area, to speak with him about "matters of state," as if he doesn't personally know what that means. In fact, he was very familiar with these kind of things, being an ex-Lexicographer himself, until he was forced to do things that are illegal acts, which are punishable by law, to help a very close friend about finding solutions to an extremely deeper problem that he has no freedom to talk about at this moment.
Still, he will exhibit no remorse about helping a friend. It took it upon himself to extend assistance to anyone who might need it, as he was taught by his experience working in the Dystopian Prison itself, and all gatherings he had the opportunity to immerse himself with, so it was a complete surprise to everyone when one day he pleaded guilty to a crime he was unlikely to commit.
It was a felony of assisting inmates to do things that will disrupt the operations of the Penitentiary. He did it, and he was able to provide the extensive details of his active participation. There is no doubt that the information filed in the Court of Ethics was the true and correct account of what has transpired.
He stood up from his bunk bed to meet his expected visitor. He has run out of possible questions that the Adjudication Service might want answers from him, and, in all honesty, he was already getting fatigue with this repetitive line of questioning. But again, he must fully cooperate with the government (and especially with the Story Board) in whatever way this criminal profiling will take him.
The Lexicographer Guard escorted him down the hallway into an appointed Visitor's Room where his expected guest was waiting for him. When he saw the Copy Editor and they shook hands, the Lexicographer left them to position himself beside the door.
As soon as he was seated, the Copy Editor began to say her usual opening comment.
"I am pretty sure that you did not commit this."
And as he would always do, he just shook his head to say, "That is where you are wrong, madam. I did it and I was proud of it."
Then he would grin with a bitter smile.
