Chapter Eighty Six: The Glass Muse's Exclusive

As the controversy in the trial of the century continues to unravel, the peripheral issues associated between the two powerful realms are hardly hit by the resulting strained relations. Many other states within the Commission who are party to the commercial interests of both powers suffer indirectly in a significant way, and the delegates in the Commission of Appointments were all hoping that the issues will be resolved amicably, by observing the rule of law, and the jurisdiction of the Judicial and Bar Council.

The Glass Muse has released an exclusive scoop in its Thursday issue as the mother headline of the frontpage regarding the Queen of the South Kingdom's convening of her Privy Council, which has extensively discussed, among others, the preparations in case a war is needed to be declared if the disagreements in the judicial matters become the prelude to an inevitable constitutional crisis.

Although the seneschal for the Great Southern Palace has repeatedly said, after the news article was published in circulation, that the Privy Council primarily discussed topics related to the economy and other future agenda to be introduced in the Commission on Appointments, the seneschal failed to say categorically if preparation for war has been ordered by the Queen, and if the kingdom is, indeed, mulling for a declaration of armed conflict once judicial processes failed to address controversies regarding conflicting views on the application of the appointments.

The news story also referred to a "secret weapon" that the South Kingdom was reportedly in possession of (but never officially confirmed), which they would readily use, and that the realm "was preparing their Astrologers to break ties with the Seminary and fight alongside their main alliances once the constitutional crisis was effectively triggered by the Tenth Kingdom's complete disregard for the arbitration of justiciable questions before competent courts."

The editorial board also released a strongly worded editorial right after that, with the issue becoming a developing story, which they addressed with impartiality to all parties and interests in the issue before the extension of the Commission's prerogatives. They have asked for calm amid the conflicting views that is plaguing the Articles "that founded this pioneering Commission," and to be simply discouraged by trivial matters in the interpretation of the separation of powers would paint an uncomfortable truth, that everybody was willing to destroy the Commission's inseparable bond on account of childish immaturity "while no one did something to stop it from happening."

The editorial also mentioned, by compelled reasoning, that the "secret weapon" must be declared as an important matter to be discussed by the Commission, and it is incumbent upon the South Kingdom to declare the existence of such weapon in their competent participation to the commitment to the preservation of peace, and that the fault for the destructive qualities of this weapon is "blood in the hands of the South Kingdom" if they will use it in complete disregard to the lives that will perish from using this instrument of violence, even by last resort.

The newspaper also asked for clarity regarding the recent events, and the editors called upon the Rector of the Commission, as acting Executive Secretary, to coordinate closely with those involved to avoid escalating the issue into unnecessary violence, and preserve the Appointments from the reach of selfish interests that could provoke a senseless armed skirmishes, and to stick to the rule of law by respecting the arbitrary powers of the Commission for the good of all.
