Chapter Sixty Four: The Perilous Secret
Walls are built for many reasons one can fully discover. It can be to keep enemies away, to delineate perimeters and boundaries, to keep everything safe, and maybe to keep a secret.
Not everyday someone keeps a secret. But it is entirely possible that someone hides a secret from us because this particular secret will save us from the unnecessary perils and troubles of life.
And this is what stories do. A story might be telling us a secret; it gives us a cryptic message that only devoted readers can fully comprehend. Maybe the main character reveal certain characteristics that we might truly admire, that his demeanor gives us directions to a buried treasure somewhere, only to be sufficiently found by a courageous explorer.
Such a situation exists in the Story Board's search for an equitable standard up to this day. Stories are hard to regulate, and this is particularly imminent when the Conference of Saints and All-Saints passed the bill creating this organ where stories are told, kept, and carefully regulated.
As the Story Board's regulatory function comes into play as one of the powers of the Board, in due time, it has encountered several instances in which its existence are effectively threatened and almost subdued by the inconsistencies of regulation and policy, such as the great escape from the Prison of Dystopia, that more secrets have been buried within the authority of the Story Board.
The greatest secret ever hidden from us was the erection of the Western Wall. And there were at least three stories affected by passing the resolution for this act. This is a very cunning move that has not been caught under the radar of the Conference, that it has become the luckiest sleek move in the conduct of a "state-sponsored" dangerous white-collar crime.
This Western Wall was inconsistent with Prophenese, and it meddles with everyday affairs that it hinders the patterns on the Eastern Wall. All those who have good intentions must have been bothered by the Prophenese's inability to forsee something very valuable.
It cannot prophesy eternal death.
